Graveside service for Mary Louise Alexander Teague, 88, formerly of Decatur, will be Saturday, March 21, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Roselwn Cemetery in Decatur with Rev. Dr. Rob Jackson officiating and Shelton Funeral Home directing. Prior to service, the family will receive friends from 1 to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Teague, who died Friday, March 13, 2015, at her residence, was born October 7, 1926, in Decatur to Joel S. Alexander and Vera Mae Chalker Alexander. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Cecil J. Teague. Mrs. Teague was a graduate of Decatur High School and Montevallo University. She taught school for 23 years and retired from teaching at Morgan County Elementary School.
Mary and her husband, Cecil, were active in Gideons International and were longtime members of Central Baptist Church, where they faithfully served for many years.
She is survived by her three children, Patti Youngbeck, Jan Brown and Jeff Teague. Mary also had 12 loving grandchildren.
