Mary Lou (Camas) Wright

Mrs. Wright was a loving mother, grandmother and grandmother. Mary Lou Wright, died March 7, 2016 at Summerford Nursing Home in Falkville, AL. Mary was born in Durbin, North Dakota to Walter and Minnie Camas. Losing both parents a month apart at the age of twelve made her fiercely independent. At the age of nineteen she joined the Navy. After marring, having a child and then divorcing, she worked toward regaining her independent life with her new daughter. She we to work and, standing on her own tow feet, raised, supported, and loved her daughter.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Bobby Hoffman, Betty Gust, and Audrey Ertlet and her brothers, Dallas and Dick Camas. Survivors included daughter, Cindy Darby (husband, Rodney); grandchildren, Anthony Darby (wife, Meghan); Andrea Rhodes (husband, Josh), and Mary Kate Collins (husband, Bart); great grandchildren, Cole Collins, Sophie Grace Rhodes, Jackson Darby, Camden Rhodes, Emerson Collins, Darby Rhodes, and Grayson Darby.
The family would like to express their heart felt appreciation to the staff at Summerford Nursing Home for not only caring but also for loving Mary while she resided there. For the staff that tended to her daily needs, remember that Mary “loves you more”.
