Mary Lena Martin, 85, died Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at Generations of Red Bay. She was born in Itawamba County, MS to John Loden and Ruth Franks Loden. Mary worked at Charm Step Shoe Factory for over twenty-five years, drove the Senior Citizen bus for over twenty-five years and helped her husband, Kenneth Martin at Martin Monuments.
Services will be Saturday, June 14, 1 p.m. at True Life Church, 1 Lucas Road, Tremont, MS with Bro. Jimmy Lucas officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, June 14, 11-1 p.m. at True Life Church. Burial will be in Shady Valley Cemetery, Tremont, MS. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by a son, Jeff Martin; granddaughters, Haley Harris (Chris) and Hannah Malone (Hunter) and their mother, Kim; grandson, Ben Martin (Bonnie); great-grandsons, Case Martin and Denver Harris and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Martin; a son, Scotty Martin; a grandson, Tritt Martin, her parents; three sisters, Fannie Murphy, Vondora Pitts and Nell Loden and two brothers, Leroy Loden and Charles Loden.
Pallbearers will be Ben Martin, Case Martin, Chris Harris and Hunter Malone.
