Mary Kilpatrick Aagesen lost her eight year battle with ovarian cancer and is now in a better place. She was born in Northampton, England and after marrying her former husband, Richard L. Kilpatrick, who was stationed in England with the Air Force, came to the U.S. and eventually settled in Huntsville
Mary was an avid bowler until she tried golf which became her passion. She belonged to two ladies groups at Redstone and Municipal golf courses. It was not unusual for her to play golf five to six times a week.
Mary is survived by her husband, Edgard “Ed” Aagesen; sisters, Hilda Whitney and Judy Merrick; and numerous nieces and nephews in Northampton, England; daughter, Laura Bell (David); sons, Mark Kilpatrick of Huntsville, Colin Kilpatrick of Santa Barbara, CA; step-children, Kirsten Darrah (Daniel) of Peru, NY, and Erik Aagesen (Chelsea) of Murphreesboro, TN; grandchildren, Chelsea Ralston (Jon), Ryan Bell (Lindsey) and Daniel Bell of Huntsville, and Kasey Kilpatrick of Athens; six great-grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 2 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home,
