Funeral for Mary Katherine (Sue) Sherrill, 93, of Hillsboro will be Saturday, August 18, 2018, at Parkway Funeral Home, at 2:00 PM with Rev. Jeremy Nason officiating. Burial will be in Hames-Clardy Cemetery in Caddo. Visitation will be two hours before the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Sherrill, who died Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Cullman Reginal Medical Center, was born, January 10, 1925, to Ed Smith and Ella Smith. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Decatur. She enjoyed her family and reading her Bible.
She was preceded in death by her parents,
Husband – Homer D. Sherrill
4 Brothers – Atwell Smith, Hoyt Smith, A. V. Knight and Hurley Smith
3 Sisters – Mattie D. Parker, Lenos Letson and Shirley Rowe
Survivors include:
3 Sons – Kenneth (Bonnie) Sherrill, Eddie Sherrill and Steve (Gwen) Sherrill
3 Daughters – Stella (Henry) Rikard, Linda Holland and Kathy (Jim) Chancellor
6 Brother – Thurman Smith, Benny Smith, Tommy Smith, Dair Smith, Donnie Smith and Cooper Smith
2 Sisters – Beatrice Terry and Sandra Jo Smith
17 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
