Mary Juanita Presley
November 30, 1941 until July 14, 2024
Juanita was born on November 30, 1941 to Oliver William Presley, II and Susie Steele Presley. She grew up in a large household and was one of eight children including – James Unzel Presley, John Henry Presley, Otis Presley, Otto Presley, and Owen Presley – who preceded her in death. Juanita is survived by her siblings Theresa Presley Flowers and Oliver William Presley, III. She is also survived by her nieces – Cassandra Presley, Annette Presley, Karen Dyson, Bridgett Jenkins, Tona Rodriguez, Olivia Presley, Dimitri Flowers, Chiari Flowers, and Siony Flowers. Her niece, Rita Presley, preceded her in death. Furthermore, she leaves behind nephews – Oliver William Presley, IV, Cleon Aurelius Flowers III, Kelan Flowers, Lundy Flowers, and Cedric Newburn. Her nephew, Derrick Presley, preceded her in death. Juanita will also be missed by her two sister-in-laws – Judy Presley and Liz Presley. She also leaves behind her close cousin, Mary Anne Hunter, and friend, Shirley Verble. She loved animals and leaves behind her cats – Mack and Amber.
Juanita attended schools in Williamson County and Lewisburg, Tennessee. She completed her secondary education at Jones Training School in Lewisburg, Tennessee. She went to college at Fisk University and later attended Howard University. Juanita earned her law degree from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. Juanita worked as a social worker and attorney for the State of Tennessee until she retired. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and reading in her spare time.
