Mary Joyce Dillard, 88, was born on July 28, 1936, to Lawrence and Levester Dillard in Pontotoc. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 16, 2025. A life-long resident of Pontotoc, Joyce graduated from Algoma High School in 1957. Having spent the majority of her life as a factory worker she retired from Richards.
The last of 11 children, she loved her family and devoted herself to caring for her mother, siblings, nephews, and nieces. She was a Christian and a member of West Heights Baptist Church. Her favorite bible verse was John 3:16.
She is survived by her nephews and caregivers, Randy Gillespie (Kay) and Danny Thompson (Sherry), nephews, Ed Munn (Kathy), Marty Munn (Deb), Philip Munn, Herbie Graham, Madison Rowzee (Romona), Shelby Rowzee (Lois), Johnny Russell (Carol) and Chris Gillespie (KiKi), nieces, Faye Sansing (Bob), Mary Alice Graham, Annie Ruth Coy (Roy), and Patricia Brown (Doyle), and her cherished great, great great, and great great great nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, John Dillard (Beatrice), and her sisters, Clasteen Russell (Thomas), Zana Rowzee (Pete), Trannie Graham (Wayne), Gladys Gillespie (Haskell), Wilma Munn (Hayward), Jay East (Owen), Lille Mae Lepard (Earl), Ruby Thompson (Rayc), and Dorothy Dillard.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Baldwin Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc from 12PM until service time of 2PM with Bro. Randy Gillespie officiating. Burial will follow in West Heights Cemetery. Baldwin Memorial Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of arrangements.
