Mary Jo Sanders, age 82, of Muscle Shoals, died Tuesday, February 9, 2016. Her family will receive friends Saturday, 12-2 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Rodney Shewbart officiating.
Mrs. Sanders was a very active member of York Terrace Baptist Church where she served in numerous church groups. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Don Sanders and sons, Michael and David Sanders.
She is survived by her daughter; Melissa Isbell, of Muscle Shoals, sisters; Betty Ann Scarbrough and Dottie Holland both of Florence, three grandchildren; Emily Sartin, Amy Isbell and Brian Isbell, five great-grandchildren; Makayla and Hollan Killian, Cade, Cole and Zoey Sartin.
Honorary pallbearers are the Deacons of York Terrace Baptist Church.
Mrs. Sander’s family would like to express very special thanks to Dr. Brad Ginevan and the nurses and staff of Hospice Advantage.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to York Terrace Baptist Church.
