Mary Jo Nunley, 80, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at her residence. Mrs. Nunley was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah in Iuka and was a former dispatcher for TVA. She was a wonderful cook who could find beauty in everything. She loved hummingbirds and caring for her rose bushes and flowers. She loved coffee and writing short stories based on the days of her youth. She also enjoyed sewing and antiques. Mrs. Nunley was dearly loved by her family and will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Paulie Nunley; four children, Mavis Lowrey (Jimmy Lee), Gail Hudson (Larry), Sharon Critzburg, and Jason Nunley (Stephanie); two stepchildren, James Hathcoat and Annie Miller; one brother, Larry Swader; one sister, Shirley Linzie; and four grandchildren, Shannon Smith, Zachery Smith, Elizabeth Hudson, and Jonathan Hudson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Azalee Romans Swader; two brothers, Don Swader and John Wayne Swader; and a son-in-law, Lloyd Critzburg. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
