Mary Jeannine Spears Williams, 84, owner of Bell Shade & Lamp Company and resident of Columbia, died Monday, January 6, 2020 at NHC Columbia.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at First United Methodist Church with Reverend Lyndell Propst officiating. A graveside service will be conducted Saturday at 2:30 P.M. at McCrory Cemetery on McCrory Lane in Davidson County. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home.

Born December 21, 1935 in Davidson County, she was the daughter of the late Homer Haw Spears and the late Betty Evelyn Mays Spears. Ms. Williams was a member of the Maury County Bridle and Saddle Club, Mule Day Pageant Committee, and First United Methodist Church. She loved gardening, antiquing, sewing, baseball, football, Mule Day, and making lamps.

Survivors include her children, Douglas (Shirley) Williams, Kim Willis, Daniel (Missy) Williams, Kara Williams, all of Columbia; grandchildren, Corbin Whitwell of Columbia; Kaelin (Bobby Lee) Hanks of Munford; Seth (Mary Allison Thomas) Willis of Foley, Alabama; Jack Huckaby of Columbia; Linton Huckaby of Columbia; great grandchildren, Gavin Whitwell, Kimber Hanks, Willis Hanks, Piper Willis, Jetton Thomas; and nephews, Jimmy Spears, Jeff Spears, and Jody Spears.

Preceded in death by three brothers, one niece and one nephew.

Active pallbearers will be Seth Willis, Jack Huckaby, Corbin Whitwell, Kaelin Hanks, Linton Huckaby, Bobby Lee Hanks, Gavin Whitwell, Jody Spears, Jeff Spears, Randall Adams, and Jimmy Spears. Honorary pallbearers include Buddy York, Sydney McClain, and the staff of NHC Columbia.
