Mary Jeanette Hacker, 59, died Friday, April 29, 2016, at Helen Keller Hospital. She was born in Baldwyn, Mississippi, to Kenneth Ray and Cora Alene Holder Harris. She was a cosmetologist for 30 years. She was a member and devoted Sunday school teacher at Grace Baptist Church.
Services will be Monday, May 2, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home chapel, Red Bay, with Brother Wayne Logan and Brother Scott Bryant officiating. Burial will be in Dempsey Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, Alabama, will be in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Danny Hacker, of Russellville; two daughters, Chrissy Holland (Robert), of Red Bay, and Marrisa Mims (Allen), of Russellville; one granddaughter, Kanah Holland, of Red Bay; two sisters, Brenda Reed (Mitch), of Fulton, and Barbara Willis (Mark), of Booneville; two brothers, Jimmy Harris (Bridget), of Marietta, and Stevie Harris, of Booneville; a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Dale Hacker; and a sister, Janet Westman-Burby.
Pallbearers will be Alan Walters, Daniel Humphries, Cody Watson, Jonathan Humphres, Steven Watson and Tim Thorn. Honorary pallbearer will be Jimmy Harris.
Visitation will be today from 6-9 p.m. and from 8 a.m. until service time Monday at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, Alabama.
