Mary Helen Smith Fuqua, 65, of Muscle Shoals, Ala., departed this life on Tuesday, March 11, 2014.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, March 15, 2014, at the High Street Church of Christ, Tuscumbia, Ala. Brother John Smalley is officiating. Interment will follow in Shoals Memorial Gardens.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Nadine Montgomery; father, Warren P. Hodges; daughter, Amanda Louise Fuqua; great-granddaughter, Zionne Steele; and brother, John Otis Montgomery.
Survivors include sons, Thomas (Samantha) Fuqua and Christopher Fuqua, both of Sheffield, Ala., and Kenneth (Jackie) Fuqua, of Muscle Shoals, Ala.; a dear stepson, Calvin Armstead, of Muscle Shoals, Ala.; daughters, Tiffany and Linda (Gary) Fuqua, of Muscle Shoals, Ala., Latina(Thomas) Fuqua, and Jennifer(Charles) Crum, of Leighton, Ala.; stepdaughters, Brenda Winston and Angela and Rhonda Armstead; sisters, Annie R. Wise, of Davenport, Iowa, and Sandra Hodges, of Sheffield, Ala.; brothers, James, Charles, and Ricky Montgomery, and Micheal Hodges, all of Sheffield, Ala., Donnie (Shirley) Montgomery, of Bellville, Mich., Darryl (Madeline) Montgomery, of LaBerna, Calif., and Gary(Cassie) Montgomery, of Florence, Ala.; and a very special and devoted uncle, Porter (Bessie) Smith, of Muscle Shoals.
