Mrs. Mary Frances Looney Butler, 88, passed away on December 26, 2015 at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital. She attended Underwood Baptist Church.
Visitation will be at Greenview Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 from 12 Noon – 2:00 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Bro. Donnie McDaniel and Bro. Jerry Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W. Foy Butler and her parents, Homer and Eula Looney of Iron City, TN.
Survivors include her daughters, Rita Butler Adams (Johnny) and Sonya Butler Stanley (Bruce) both of Florence; grandchildren, Daniel Adams of Florence, Anne Adams Doyle (Jeremy) of Katy, TX, Brent Stanley (Leah) and Jared Stanley of Florence; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Ethan Doyle of Katy, TX, and her brother, John Looney (Fran) of Brooklyn, MI.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Danny McFall and Dr. Ricky Irons for the comforting words and professional care, especially through this past week. The family was touched by all the nurses and techs who cared for Mama in the ER, CCU and Palliative Care.
The family would also like to give a thank you to all of mama’s new friends at Green Oaks Inn. Thank you for caring for Mama since April. She had been so happy there making new friends and being able to share arts and crafts. She also enjoyed the special music and readings and “volleyball” with everyone.
Mama loved God, her family and her Church family, and her many friends. She will be missed by all.
