Mary-Butler-1441452069Mary Frances Lee Butler of Waynesboro, TN was born June 29, 1927 in Waynesboro, TN, the daughter of the late David Neil and Annabelle Burks Lee. She was united in marriage to Ellis A. Butler on September 14, 1946.

Mrs. Butler was a retired bookkeeper at Kelley’s Hardware and was a member of the Waynesboro United Methodist Church in Waynesboro, Tennessee.

Mrs. Butler departed this life on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Wayne Medical Center, Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 88 Years, 2 Months, 7 Days.

She is survived by her husband, Ellis A. Butler of Waynesboro, TN; a son, Jamie Butler and wife, Lisa of Waynesboro, TN; a daughter, Karen Johnson and husband, Julius of Columbia, TN; grandchildren, Charles A. (Charlie) Butler and wife, Pam, Matthew Johnson and wife, Kristi, Mary Ella Lettiere and husband, Sam and Andrew Butler; great-grandchildren, Lucy and Andie Lettiere and Liam Johnson; a brother, David Neil Lee, Jr. and wife, Beverly of Washington, MI; nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Butler was preceded in death by brothers, Joel and Charles H. Lee and sisters, Helen Radford and Virginia Moffatt.

Services will be Monday, September 7, 2015 at 11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Kevin Marston officiating. Burial will follow in Shields Cemetery, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 6, 2015 from 5 pm to 8 pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors, Waynesboro, TN. Her body will be placed in the church one hour before the services on Monday, September 7, 2015.

Her family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be given to the First United Methodist Church, Waynesboro, TN.
