Mary Frances “Frankie” McDonald, age 88, passed away Friday, March 18, 2016, in the Sunset Manor Nursing Home in Guin, Alabama.
Born March 15, 1928, in Guin, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late E.J. and Ellen Duncan Riley and the wife of Warren Harding McDonald. She had lived in Guin all of her life and had worked at the Guin Flower Shop for 20 years and had also worked at Munsingwear and Frost Front. She was a member of the Guin First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Warren H. McDonald, of Guin, Alabama; three sons, Mike (Carolyn) McDonald, of Killen, Alabama, Eddy (Delorah) McDonald, of Northport, Alabama, and Kenneth (Nena) McDonald, of Guin, Alabama; three grandchildren, Keeley Alford, Jayeson McDonald, and Charlene Engle; and seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Lola Burke, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and Peggy Ogilvie, of Birmingham, Alabama.
Services will be Sunday, March 20, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Norwood Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in the Guin City Cemetery. Brother Kenny Hatcher is officiating.
Visitation is Sunday, 1-2 p.m., at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Guin First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 405, Guin, Alabama 35563.
