Mary Frances Borden, 82, Florence, Ala., passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2013. The funeral service will be today at 4:30 p.m. at Wesley Chapel with Jerry Hastings officiating. Burial will follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 3-4:30 p.m. at the church.
Mrs. Borden was a native of Lauderdale County, Ala. and was a member of Wesley Chapel Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by husband, Robert T. Borden; parents, Owen and Essie Haddock; sister, Helen Provencher; and brother, David Haddock; and daughter-in-law, Lynn Borden. She was a loving wife, mother and Nana who enjoyed flowers and gardening and spending time with family.
Survivors include sons, Dwight Borden and wife, Carol, Mike Borden and wife, Donna; brothers, Thomas Haddock, Charles Haddock and wife, Claudette, Joe Haddock and wife, Debra; sister, Jean Humphrey and husband, Howard. There are 4 grandchildren, Chris Borden, Ann Borden Atkinson, Tara Borden Ray and husband, Tommy, and Jared Borden. There are seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Derrill Haddock, Ricky Agee, Bryan Haddock, Mark Humphrey, Bensil Greenhill and Chad Haddock.
Morrison Funeral Home, Florence/Central Heights is directing.
