Mary Frances Adams Moore, 83, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many, passed from this life into the arms of her Creator on Saturday, August 29, 2026 in Tupelo. She was surrounded by loved ones at home. Mary was born on August 6, 1943 in Phil Campbell, Alabama but lived most of her adult life in Lee County, Mississippi. Mary lived a life marked by hard work, deep love and a spunky spirit. She was a longtime member of St. Mark Methodist Church in East Tupelo. Her long life was truly a gift from God to her family. She spent many years working in the Poly-foam business, where she built a reputation from being a dependable, hard-working employee. She enjoyed God’s creation, being outdoors with her flowers, and spending time with her family.
Mary is survived by her children, Nina Allred of Tupelo, Ed Williams (Anna) of Amory, and Stephanie Jones of Mooreville; four sisters, Sue Green (Jerry) of Haleyville, AL, Ann Tidwell (Lance) of Bear Creek, AL, Nona Williams of Wren, and Linda Shirley of Detroit, AL; one brother, Mike Adams of Mooreville; eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other near relatives. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, John Quincy Adams and Ruth Irene Keplinger; her late husbands, Raymond Eugene Williams, Kenneth Ray Moore, and Walter Davis Priddy; and five brothers, David Adams, Teddy Adams, Wayne Adams, John Adams, and Hayward Adams.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 PM Monday, August 31, 2026 in the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel at Holland Funeral Directors, Tupelo with Rev. Roger Puhr and Bro. Steve Chappell officiating. Private burial will be in the Forever Together Garden at Lee Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at Noon and continue until service time at Holland-Tupelo. Pallbearers will be Christopher Locastro, Joshua Jones II, Xander Ray, Geary Ray, Nathan Jones, and Brandon Strong. Her primary caregiver, her granddaughter, Christin Russell, and all the family wish to thank the caring, kind and loving souls who assisted their beloved Mother, Grandmother and Sister in her last illness including the staff of Spring Valley Hospice and Right at Home Care and Assistance Services. Special thanks also to Sharon Kay Locastro, Rebekah Jones, and all her friends at D.A.V. on Eason Blvd, Tupelo, Melanie, Erica, Sherry Moore, Amy Kumar, Linda Shirley, L.J., Bro Arch, Brittany and Christin’s husband, Dewayne and their three boys, Christopher, Camdyn John, and Jerimiah for their kindness, love and support, which was invaluable.
