Ms., Mary Faye Doris Davis age 84, of Guntersville, Alabama, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2023, at her residence.
She was born on November 9, 1938, to the late Dee and Inez Sweat Gibson.
Known by granny, all the neighborhood kids hung at her house. She always made sure everyone was fed and had their favorite food. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She retired from Barfield Nursing Home in 2013 after 29 years.
She is survived by her daughters, Shelia Davis, Charmayne Harvard of Florida, Tammy (Kenneth) Day, Kristi (Scott) Phillips of Birmingham; stepdaughter, Barbara (Charlie) Crow of Georgia; son, Eric (Kim) Davis of Arab; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; brother, Leon (Thelma) Gibson of Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Davis, parents, brothers, Quinton Gibson and Junior Gibson.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, June 27, 2023, 2pm at Henryville United Methodist Church.
