Our family lost a loving Momma, Grandmother, sister, and friend Saturday morning, March 23, 2024, when Mary Evelyn Randolph Johnson passed away peacefully at her apartment. She was born in Iuka, MS, on October 5, 1954, to Thurman and Johnny Randolph. Mary leaves a legacy of love and unmatched kindness. She is remembered for the numerous people she cared for including her mother, sister, brother-in-law, grandchildren, neighbors, and any acquaintances who might need her.
She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and their friends who visited her. She enjoyed the outdoors, cooking, and camping out on the water, as well as planting and tending to her flowers. She loved having fun, dancing, wearing big hats, and her sentimental gold jewelry.
She is survived by her children, Ronnie A. Johnson and Leighan Murray and husband, Bill; her grandchildren, Jake Murray and Shaleigh Murray; her ex-husband, George Johnson; her sister, Carolyn Gowen and husband, Mike; her brother, Jim Randolph; her nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Dorothy Randolph and Judy Reid; and her brothers, O.T. and Ed Randolph.
Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, March 27, 2024, from 12:00 P.M. until 1:00 P.M., at Cutshall Funeral Home. Services are scheduled for Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at 1:00 P.M., at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Bro. John Gowen. Burial will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
