Mary Evelyn Duncan, age 78, of Phil Campbell, Alabama, passed away on June 29, 2025 at her residence with her family by her side.
Mary was born February 3,1947 in Franklin County Alabama to Henderson and Elsie May (Partain) Weeks. She became widowed in 2017 when her late husband Wilmer Duncan passed away.
When Mary was younger her and some of her siblings would travel to see Gospel Quartets perform. She loved to listen to Gospel music, her favorite band was the Makameys. She loved helping her church when she was able to and she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In her down time she was always reading a book whether it was a hard back or a download on her phone. If you knew Mary you know she loved anything black and white those were her favorite colors.
Mary Evelyn is survived by her two sons, Kevin Rickmon (Debra) and Shane Rickmon; her grandchildren, Felicia Baldwin (Mitchel), Dustin Rickmon (Gina), Bethany Jones (Patrick), Billy Williams and Chris Tuggle;
her great grandchildren, Abi, Brody, Brayden, Dalton, Andrew, Alissah, Kinsley and Nathan; and her siblings, Dellion Weeks, Janice Vandiver (Marty), Charles Weeks (Chearie).
She is preceded in death by her late husband, Wilmer Duncan; her son, Christopher Rickmon; her parents, Henderson & Elsie May Weeks; and her two sisters, Phyllis Duncan and Shirley Pace.
There will be a Celebration of Life held on Thursday, July 3 from 5-7 PM at Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville, Alabama.
