Mary Ellon Overdeer Shelton, age 82, of Huntsville, Al passed away Friday, April 20, 2018 at a local hospital. Mrs. Shelton was born Jackson County, AL to Woodrow and Genevia Overdeer. She worked as a nurse’s aide at Crestwood Medical Center for 30 years. Mrs. Shelton loved to cook and was an excellent cook. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond J. Shelton and her parents Woodrow and Genevia Shelton. Mrs Shelton is survived by her sons Mike Sampson and Mark Anthony Shelton; daughters Sandra Cobble and Karen White; brothers Alvin Hall and Buddy Overdeer; sisters Beulah Cole and Wilmal Hawes and grandchildren Kasey, Kaitlyn, Stephanie, Brad and Morgan Temple
Visitation for Mrs. Shelton will be held on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Hampton Cove Funeral Home from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Her funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Hampton Cove Funeral Home at 2:00 pm.
Mrs. Shelton will be entombed in the Chapel of Love Mausoleum in Hampton Cove Cemetery.
