Mrs. Mary Ellen Powell Murphree, age 62, of the New Harmony Community, of Arab, Alabama passed from this life on Thursday, January 30th, 2020 at Huntsville Hospital.
Mrs. Murphree was born on May, 4th, 1957 in Indiana, to the late Joe John Powell and Syble Ann Oden Powell. Mary was employed at Sherwood Industry, as one of their Inspectors. She loved her family and grandchildren as well as; playing bingo, reading, and traveling, every chance she had. Mary was a member of the Roswell Creek Baptist Church.
A visitation to celebrate Mary’s life will be held at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel on Saturday, February 1st, 2020, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Mrs. Murphree is survived by her loving husband, Bennie Murphree; daughter, Christi Fulmer (Greg); brother, Randy Joe Powell (Jenny); two sisters, Sandi Teague and Jennifer Manasco; and three grandchildren, Grant Fulenwider, Landon Fulmer and Lilah Fulmer.

Funeral services for Mrs. Murphree will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 2nd, 2020, at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with burial to follow at Roswell Creek Cemetery.
