Mary Ellen Ingram Rhoden, age 71, of Muscle Shoals, died Friday, May 16, 2014. Visitation will be Sunday, noon until 2 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. Her funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Bruce Blankenship and Garry Barnes officiating. There will be a private graveside service in Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield, at a later date.
Mrs. Rhoden was a member of River Road Church of Christ and was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Doris Cox Ingram.
She is survived by her husband of fifty three years, David Rhoden; son, David “Tony” Rhoden and wife Paula; daughter, Cyndee Oliver and husband Larry; brother, Rick Ingram and wife Sheila; sister, Janice Rader and husband Steve; grandchildren, Matt and Nick Oliver, Caitlin and Lucas Rhoden; great granddaughter Briar Rose Oliver; and her fur baby, Paco.
The family expresses special thanks to the 4th floor nursing staff of Helen Keller Hospital and to Dr. Kenneth Rose.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
