Mary Elizabeth “Willie” Hayes, 77, of Florence, passed away July 23, 2015 at E.C.M. Hospital. She was a member of Darby Drive Church of Christ. She enjoyed Bingo, NASCAR, Baseball, and Old Westerns.
Visitation will be today, Saturday, July 25, 2015 from 11 – 1 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Odem’s Chapel Cemetery in St. Joseph, Tennessee.
Mrs. Hayes was preceded in death by her husband, William Hayes, Sr.; grandson, Michael Paul Grissom; granddaughter, Sidney Hayes.
She is survived by her daughter, Rita Brackin (Bobby); son, William Edgar “Rover” Hayes, Jr. (Sherry) of Florence; son, Robert Lee Hayes of Florence; daughter, Sheila Smith (Mark) of Muscle Shoals; daughter, Belinda “Duke” Satkamp (Mike) of Kokomo, IN; son, Dennis Hayes (Jennifer) of Florence; daughter, Lily Mae Grissom (Bill) of Sheffield, daughter, Darlene Adams (Mike) of Muscle Shoals; son, Jeff Hayes of Florence; brothers, Bobby, Jimmy, and Marvin Haddock; numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Satkamp, Shane Satkamp, Cullen Grissom Cody Hayes, Jason Hayes, and Greg Hayes.
