Mary Elizabeth Rea, age 81, of Florence, Alabama, passed away on June 7, 2024. Mary was born on March 19, 1943, in Russellville Alabama. She was retired from Russellville Hospital after 17 years of loyal service as the housekeeping supervisor.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 12 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville, Alabama. Funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Gerald Pennington officiating. Burial will be at the Franklin Memory Garden in Russellville. Pallbearers will be, Tony Rea, Darryl Dodd, Glenn Bennett, Roger Pennington, Dewayne Pennington, and Josh Hall.
Mary is survived by her son, Tony Lee Rea (Debra); daughter, Selinda Kay Dodd (Darryl); brother, Walter Glenn Bennett (Jill); sister, Lillie Mae Glenn (Ira Wayne); Grandchildren, Kristy Lynn Liles;
Step-Grandchildren, Beth Hall, Megan Hall (Andrew Coykendall), Joshua Hall; Great Grandchildren, Zoe Grace Henley, Hunter BreeAnn Liles; as well as a host of loving nieces, nephews, and dear friends that will deeply miss Mary.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Lee Anderson Rea; her brothers, Thomas Earl Bennett, Bennie Lee Bennett, Calvin Rufus Bennett, and infant twins, Robert and Willie Ray Bennett; her parents Rufe and Mattie Bennett; and her grandson, Robbie Lawrence Nelms Jr.
