Mary Elizabeth Hunter Rister, 87, of Decatur, who was born Jan. 15, 1929, passed away June 13, 2016. A Celebration of Life will be Thursday, June 16, 2016 at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Brother Roger Jenkins officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Rister was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Allen Rister.
She is survived by her daughter, Bettina Ann Rister; two sisters-in-law, Hazel Hunter and Doris Childs.
