Mary Elizabeth ”Betty” Nix, age 85, of Nauvoo, Alabama, passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022. Mary was born on May 7, 1936 in Collier County, Florida to Hugh and Alma Jones, Sr. She loved to cook and crotchet.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs, where the services will begin at 2:00 pm. Burial will be held at Poplar Springs Cemetery.
Mary is survived by her brothers, Hugh Jones, Jr., Terry (Patty) Jones, and Jerry (Diane) Jones; daughter, Donna (Jeff) Breed; sons, Tony Nix and James Nix; and grandchild, Tara Breed.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Hugh and Alma Jones; sisters, Wanda Gunn and Von Brown; and son, Wayne Nix.
