Graveside Services for Mrs. Mary Cockrell of Lineville, was held on Wednesday, April 22, 2020, at 11:00 A.M. at Springhill Christian Church Cemetery with Bro. Dan Keith and Dean Hendrix officiating.

Mrs. Cockrell passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2020 at her home. She was a native and lifelong resident of Clay County, except for a short while in Oxford, AL. She was a member of Springhill Christian Church.

She is survived by three daughters: Brenda Hendrix and husband Theron, Rosemary Hill and Husband Terry, and Patricia Dennison and husband Billy; grandchildren: Dean Hendrix (Kristi) of Auburn, Tina Snow, Amy Hill Spratlin (Sawyer) of Lineville; her great-grandchildren: Ashley Hendrix Jenkins (James) of Harlem, Ga, Jonathan Hendrix (Mallory) of Opelika, Katherine Schwarzauer, Kristyn Kuykendall of Oregon, and Konnor Schwarzauer of Auburn; her great-great-grandchildren: Sophie, Liam and Persephone May Jenkins, Kinsley McCain, and Braxton Wayne Hendrix who is expected in August, along with several nieces and nephews. She loved them all.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Braxton Cockrell; her daughter, Shirley Hendrix and husband Marston; her parents, Joe and Alma Turner; her sister, Theo Price and husband Pitman, and her brother, Earl Turner.

Family members served as pallbearers.

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, there will only be a graveside service.

Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville will be in charge of arrangements.
