Mary Carolyn Cummings Baker
Carolyn was born in Spruce Pine, AL June 28, 1944, to Lawrence and Melba Bentley Cummings. Carolyn graduated from Phil Campbell High School and received a BS degree in Home Economics from University of North Alabama. After graduating, she moved to Atlanta, GA and began working at Bellsouth Telephone where she retired. Carolyn was a member of Spruce Pine Church of Christ.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Jane Brewer (Bob), Ann Barbour (Walter) and brother Lawrence Cummings, Jr. and brother-in-law Bobby Bowen.
Carolyn is survived by husband, Kenneth Baker; son, Michael Baker; sister, Sue Bowen; grandchildren, Courtney Nelson (Jay), Kendall Kinsey (Jason) and Karoline Landmon (Ryan) and six great grandchildren and a very dear friend Kelly Hulsey.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Witness Outreach Ministries 2939 Hwy 20, Spruce Pine, AL 35585. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. The service will begin at 1:00 p.m. and the burial will be immediately at Phil Campbell Cemetery.
