Mary Black Houston, 84, formerly of Decatur, died on April 16, 2013. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at Mount Hope Methodist Church in Mount Hope, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Aubra L. Houston, on October 28, 2011; her parents, Lonnie and Lois Black; and six siblings.
She is survived by two daughters, Gwen Farmer of Niota, Tenn., Mellonee Beal of Sarasota, Fla.; five grandchildren; and two brothers, Joe Black of Decatur and Gene Black of Birmingham.
