Mary Ann Weir, age 83, of Rogersville, Alabama went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 4, 2025. She was born on December 11, 1941 in Elgin, Oklahoma to the late Herbert and Annie Mae Chumbley.

Mary married the love of her life, Albert Morgan Weir, in Wichita Falls, Texas, and together they shared 66 wonderful years of marriage. They made their home in Walters, Oklahoma for 25 years, where they raised their three sons before moving to Rogersville Alabama in 1991.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mary is survived by her husband Albert Weir, and her sons Edwin Weir (Gina) and Christopher Weir (Bobbie Sue).

She was preceded in death by her son Kenneth Weir (Elizabeth); her grandson Douglas Rather (Kate), and her siblings Lottie Mae Chumbley, Donald Chumbley, H.L. Chumbley Jr., Clara Mullins, and Lenore Foster.

Mary’s legacy and love for the Lord continues through her grandchildren: Matthew Weir (Katie), Mark Weir (Jessica), Ashley Yerbey (Samuel), Suzannahe Smith, Jonathan Weir, Adam Weir (Paola), Nikki McGehee (Nic), along with numerous great-grandchildren, cousins, neices, and nephews who she adored, including a special nephew Eddie Perez (Lorrainne).

For the past 34 years, Mary was a faithful and active member of Goodsprings Baptist Church. She had a beautiful voice and loved to sing praises to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Her faith was the foundation of her life and she never missed an opportunity to share the love of Christ with others. Her love for others reflected the kindness and grace of the God she served faithfully. She will forever be remembered for her gentle spirit, her unwavering devotion to her family, the songs she sang that lifted hearts and filled her home with joy, and of course, the trademark red lipstick she left behind on the cheeks of those lucky enough to be loved by her.

Visitation will be Monday, November 10th from 11– 1 p.m. at Goodsprings Baptist Church. Funeral service will follow at the church with Brother Ricky Hood officiating. Burial will be in Dean-McNairy Cemetary.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Weir, Mark Weir, Adam Weir, Jonathan Weir, Samuel Yerbey, and Nic McGehee.

The family welcomes friends to join them in celebrating the life of a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

The family would also like to extend a special thanks to Amedysis Hospice for their compassionate care and support over the past few months.
