Mary Ann Moon Speake, born October 25, 1923, passed away at her home on October 30, 2017. A memorial service will be held Monday, November 6, 2017 at 1:00pm at Moulton First United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 12 noon until 1:00pm in the church Fellowship Hall.
She was the daughter of the late Aubrey Robert Moon and Louise Moon Chockley of Shelbyville, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Layman Speake, a daughter, Vikki Speake Reich, a sister, Emogene Moon Carroll, and a brother A.R. Moon. She is survived by her grandsons, Trey Reich (Lee) and Robert Reich (Garland) both of Birmingham and her son-in-law Philip Reich (Debbie) of Tuscaloosa. She is also survived by 3 great grandchildren, Hudson Speake Reich, Worthey Owings Reich, and Quinn Drennen Reich all of Birmingham and 3 nephews, Ron Carroll, Mason Carroll, and Roger Carroll. She was an avid golfer, an avid reader, and an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Moulton.
In lieu of flowers, her family requests donations be made to the building fund at First United Methodist Church, 14595 Market Street, Moulton, Alabama 35650 or Hospice of the Valley, 240 Johnston Street, Decatur, Alabama 35601.
