A Graveside Funeral service and Interment for Mary Alice Jennings Lindsey, 81, will be Friday, September 20, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Oden Ridge Cemetery with Bro. Mark Milwee officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Thursday, September 19, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mrs. Lindsey died on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at Huntsville Hospital. She was born August 11, 1943. in Morgan County to James Hubert Jennings and Either IraBelle Taylor Jennings.
She was employed by the Morgan County School System as a Bus Driver, prior to her retirement. For 30 years, she drove her bus to and from school, this also included carrying band members and ball teams, but she especially loved carrying the basketball team to their destinations.
She was an avid reader and quilter and enjoyed her flowers. She loved people and loved to talk.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Ermord Lindsey, brothers: W.H., Cois, Charles and Wayne Jennings, and her sisters: Ivory Cora Lee Jennings and Either Mae Kinney.
Survivors include:
Daughters – Cathy Lindsey Thompson
Carin Lindsey Austin (David)
Grandchildren – Molly Miller (Austin), McClain Thompson, and Rebecca Byrd
Great Grandchildren – Easton Miller, Oakley Miller and
Myles Thompson
Pallbearers will be Phillip Kinney, Jason Holmes, John David Chaffin, Ben Turney, Lucas Turney, Tommy White and Austin Beasley.
