Mary Alice Harris, 99, of Sheffield, AL passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2017. Visitation will be Sunday, March 26, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. -2:00 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel with service to follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel. Bryan McIntyre will be officiating the service. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens. She was a member of Shady Grove Methodist Church and attended Lake View Highland Methodist Church.
Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by husband, William “Howard” Harris; sister, Sallie Mae McMillan; brothers, Will Gargis, Bud Gargis, Howell Gargis, Hartwell Gargis, Richard Gargis and Reeder Gargis.
Survivors are honored son, Robert J. Harris (Sabrina) and host of loving nieces, nephews, and the remainder of the Gargis clan.
Pallbearers will be Jackie Gargis, David Gargis, Phil Gargis, Hart Gargis, Patrick Harris and Chase Bowman. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Moss and Kenny Gargis.
