Mary Abner Lucas, age 61, of Tarrant City Alabama died Wednesday –February 3, 2016 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. She was born in Blount County on July 17, 1954 to Arrie Abner and Myrtle Murphree Abner. She worked in Support Services at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. Ms. Lucas graduated from Tarrant High School in 1972.
She was a member of Plainview Baptist Church in Tarrant City.
She is survived by her son: David Lucas (Jennifer); brothers: Dwight Abner and Bobby Abner; grandchildren: Cindy Sturgeon and Timothy Lucas. Preceded in death by her parents: Arrie Abner & Myrtle Abner; brothers: Lloyd Abner and Rayburn Abner; sisters: Ellen Key and Joan Abner.
Graveside Service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday – February 6, 2016 at Roswell Creek Cemetery in Blount County with Brother Randy Blakely officiating.
