Marvin Sutton Woodard, age 80 of Lynchburg, passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Bailey Manor in Fayetteville. He was born in Bedford County on June 4, 1940 to the late Marvin Sutton and Sue (Jones) Woodard. Marvin had been the owner and operator of Woodard Buy Right (1968-1978), Tennessee Valley Feeds (1978-2002) and currently of Woodard’s Market. He never met a stranger and always enjoyed talking with friends and community members. He also loved riding horses. In addition to his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Woodard; and sister, Katherine Stinnett. He is survived by his loving children, Missy Woodard and Chuck (Hilda) Woodard, both of Lynchburg; grandchildren, Cody Woodard, Daniel Smith, and Eric ( Ginger) Bolles; and great-grandchildren, Oaklyn Woodard, Della Smith, Lanes Bolles, Tavia Bolles, and Lexi Walls. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Lynchburg Cemetery with Bro. Mike Robertson officiating and Chip Nolan, Jay Melcher, Cody Woodard, Daniel Smith, Eric Bolles, and Scott Lund serving as pallbearers.
