Marvin Junior Cobb – Obituary

Marvin Junior Cobb, 86 a resident of Woodland Village, Cullman, Alabama, passed away on September 25, 2017 at Cullman Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Cobb was born on June 10, 1931 in Addison, Alabama. Marvin proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean conflict. He served many years in law enforcement in Winston County, including Addison and Haleyville.  He was a long time member of  First Baptist Church Addison.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 from 6-8pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison. Services will be held at First Baptist Church Addison on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 11am. He will lie in state from 10-11am. Brother Kenny Sudduth and Brother Mark Kimbrell will officiate.  Burial will be in Winston Memorial Cemetery.

Marvin was survived by his son, Dan Cobb and wife Pat; sisters, Betty Porter, Obera Holt and Jean Wakefield; he was “Pa Pa” to 2 grandchildren, Patrick (Melanie) Cobb and Lindsey (Kyle) Carden; and 5 great grandchildren, Brie Cobb, Hunter Smalley, Bryson Smalley, Klaire Carden, and Bhrenley Netherton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Noah and Flora Cobb; brothers, Raymond Cobb and Doyle Cobb; sister, Nola Cleghorn; and granddaughter, Dana Smalley.
