Marvin "Coach Skip" Clark, Jr. Profile Photo Mr. Marvin Evans “Coach Skip” Clark, Jr age 73, of Boaz, Alabama, died on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Marshall Medical Center North.

A memorial service will be planned at a later date.

Mr. Clark was born in Tennessee on July 21, 1951, to Marvin & Velma Long Clark. He was a Huntsville High School graduate and received his BS and MS degrees from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 1975. He was a teacher and coach in the Huntsville School System from 1976 until 2000. He was also a volunteer coach of basketball, football, softball, and baseball for over 40 years.

Mr. Clark is survived by his wife of 49 and half years: Laura French Clark of Boaz, Sons: Joseph Keith Clark & Eloisa and Kenneth Nelson Clark & Hannah all of Boaz, Daughter: Erin Clark Nicholson & Spencer of Alabaster, Grandchildren: Maci, Mariah, Marlene, Luke, Conner, Sophie, Haleigh-Brooke, Nolan, Thomas, Edith, Valorie Jones & Bradley, Great Grandchildren: Scarlett, Violet, Tristan, Ryleigh and Emery, Sister: Jan Clark Miller & Ronald, and nieces; Tonya Atkinson and Mandy Miller. He was preceded in death by his Parents: Marvin E. “Joe” Clark, Sr. and Velma Clark.
