Marvalene Lewey Hardin – Obituary

Marvalene Lewey Hardin, 79, passed away to her heavenly home on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at Helen Keller Hospital, Sheffield. She was born in Franklin County and was a member of Old Burleson Baptist Church. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and an excellent cook.

Services will be Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay with Brother Walt Bennett officiating. Burial will be in Old Burleson Cemetery in Vina. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, William Archie Hardin, Vina; two daughters, Cynthia Gober (Larry Creekmore), Red Bay and Loretta Hovater (Tracy), Tuscumbia; grandchildren, Adara Cromeans (Kevin), Muscle Shoals, Lakota Hovater and Brady Hovater, Tuscumbia; one brother, Villious Lewey and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Annie Lewey; a brother, Jerry Lewey and two sisters, Ernestine Gandy and Shirley Scott.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Cromeans, Tim Fowler, T.J. Fowler, Steven Scott, Mike Mitchell, Darrin Lewey and Thomas Upton.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Helen Keller Hospital, Fourth Floor, Keller Hospice and Dr. Aaron Karr.
