Marva Rose Wertz, age 73, of Meridianville, died on Wednesday November 12, 2014.
Mrs. Wertz enjoyed loving and taking care of her husband and family. She volunteered and was very active at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Mrs. Wertz is preceded in death by her son, Robert Bruce Wertz; her parents, James and Eunice Branham Sanders; and 10 brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Wertz is survived by her husband George F. Wertz; her children, David Clark and wife Lisa, Kimberly Keleske and husband Jay, George E. Wertz and wife Sue, Richard Wertz and wife Rhonda, Theresa Smith and husband Gene, Patricia Bishop and husband Michael, Karen Wallace, and Barbara Duffey and husband Greg; 11 Grandchildren, 2 of which, Christina Smith and Jessica Smith, which were raised by Marva and George; and 7 Great Grandchildren.
A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday November 18th at 11 am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. The family will receive friends on that day from 9am until 11am at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in the memory of Marva Wertz to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 2300 Beasley Ave., Huntsville, AL 35016.
