Marty Joe Snoddy, age 59, formerly of Killen, Alabama, passed away Monday, Oct. 3, 2016, on his birthday as a result of injuries sustained in an accident.
Visitation will be today, noon-2 p.m. at Center Star Church with the service to follow at 2 p.m. with Mitchell McCormick, Robby Entrekin, and Steve Irwin officiating. Interment will follow at Center Star Cemetery.
Music will be provided by Mark Narmore and Spooner Oldham.
Pallbearers will be Britt McCormick, Tim McCormick, Glenn Nuby, Matthew Caperton, Caleb Waddell, and Steve Corum.
Brooks High School class of 1976 graduates will serve as honorary pallbearers.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Terry Snoddy, and grandparents, Archie and Mavis Snoddy and William and Rosa McCormick.
Survivors include parents, Johnny and Merle Snoddy, of Killen; sister, Tammy (Jeff) Waddell; nephew, Caleb Waddell; nieces, Cambrie Waddell, Andrea (Matthew) Caperton, and Olivia and Claire Caperton; and numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles
Marty was a 1976 graduate of Brooks High School, 1980 graduate of University of Alabama, and 1985 graduate of UAB as a physicians assistant.
Marty was loved by all who knew him. He was willing to show love himself by his desire to help others.
