Martin Ray Schaper, 83, of Meridianville, AL passed away Wednesday, August 3rd, 2022.
Mr. Schaper is a Vietnam Veteran who retired from the United States Airforce after 24 dedicated years of serving his country. After retiring Mr. Schaper went on to be employed with the United States Dept. of the Army and retired again after 24 years. Martin will be remembered as a wonderful Husband, Father, and Grandfather. He new no strangers, and as the kind person he was, he was always willing to lend a helping hand when someone was in need. Mr. Schaper was a dedicated and faithful member at Church of Christ, Fairview, TN for many years.
Martin is survived by his loving wife of 58 years; Katherine Schaper, two sons; Karl Schaper (Mary), Don Schaper (Brandi), two grandchildren; Mary Katherine, and Austin Schaper, brother; Byron Schaper (Linda), nephews; Eric, Mark and James Schaper, and one niece, Stacey Keeler.
Mr. Schaper is preceded by his parents; Vernon and Gertrude Schaper and his brother; Ernie Schaper.
