Martin SteltenpohlMartin “Marty” Steltenpohl, 59, died unexpectedly on March 22, 2024. He was born in Ozark, Alabama to Wayne and Donna Steltenpohl. He graduated from Carroll High School, Class of 1983. He began his funeral directing career at Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home while attending Jefferson State Community College. He continued his career while working at several other funeral homes to include Jeffcoat Trant Funeral Home, Bass Funeral Home, Brookside Funeral Home, Wetumpka Memorial Funeral Home and finally McCalla Memorial Funeral Home. Marty was preceded in death by his parents, twin sisters Mary and Martha Steltenpohl, and great niece Lindsey Steltenpohl. He is survived by his loving wife of 8 years, Amy Steltenpohl, daughter Breanna Steltenpohl (Jeff Justiss), sons Brandon (Erika) Mann, Jared (Carson) Steltenpohl, Dwayne (Abbey) Steltenpohl, grandchildren Walker Steltenpohl, Dominic Mann, Charlotte Mann, Brantley Mann, Remington Baker, Lakelyn Justiss, brothers Mick (Lee) Steltenpohl, Mark (Laura) Steltenpohl, Matt Steltenpohl and several nieces, nephews and cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at 1:00 from the chapel of Wright Funeral Home, 131 Mason Street Alexander City, AL with Bro. Tony Harris officiating. The family will receive friends at Wright Funeral Home from 12 until 1pm. Burial will follow in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. New Horizon Funeral Home and Wright Funeral Home are handling arrangements
