Martin Dean Terry – Obituary

Funeral service for Martin Dean Terry, 75, will be Sunday, September 22, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Brandon Kerby. Burial will be at Penny Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Terry, who died Thursday, September 19, 2013, was born September 30, 1937, on Lawrence County to Earl Thomas and Mary Bass Terry. He previously served in the United States Army and was currently employed as an Equipment Operator with T.T. Contractors. Mr. Terry was a member of Hillsboro Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Donald Terry and Larry Terry.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Gillespie Terry; two sons, Martin Keith Terry and Patrick Shane Terry (Laura); three daughters, Tammy Kennard (Thomas) all of Hillsboro, Lesa Terry of Moulton, and Karen McKelvey (Ray) of Decatur; two grandsons, Christopher Ryan Terry (Susan) of Huntsville, Joshua Kennard of Ohio, and Dalton Terry of Hillsboro; three granddaughters, Ashley Dillon (Nick) of Ohio, Savannah Kinnard of Kentucky, and Autumn Terry of Hillsboro; and two great-grandchildren, Brody Dillon and Emma Riffe.

Pallbearers will be Rodney Terry, Craig Terry, Ricky Terry, Tom Kennard, Adam Terry, Drey Terry. Honorary pallbearers will be Joel Reagin, E.C. Terry, and Henry Rikard.
