Martha Smith Lawrence Martha Smith Lawrence, 84, of Jasper, born on March 10, 1935, passed away peacefully Monday, Nov. 25, 2019, at her Jasper home. Family will be receiving friends Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2019, from 1 until 2 p.m., at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Service will follow at 2 p.m., in the Kilgore-Green Chapel, burial at Walker Memory Gardens. Roy Wolfe will officiate. Martha was a loving, Christian, wife, mother, friend, homemaker, grandmother and an educator. She led a full life of service to the Lord, including Ashram Activities. She was preceded in death by her husband, James P. Lawrence; her parents, Huey and Madge Smith. She is survived by her sister, Hulene Sherer; children, Mary Duke (Paul), Jamie Morris (Rusty); grandchildren, Chris Duke (Laurena), Kristen Cooper (Matthew), Brandon Rodi (Traci), Sean O’Rourke (Wynn); great grandchildren, Patrick Bullen, Jonah Rodi, Katie Rodi, Will Duke, Katelyn Duke and expecting great grandchild Blanton Cooper in December and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
