Martha Nell Duggar Jones, age 77, of Florence (formerly of Russellville) passed away on Monday, January 31, 2022 at Florence Nursing & Rehab Center.
Nell was a very independent and very friendly lady who never met a stranger. She went by Momma, Granny, Mimi, and Momma Nell to many people not just her family. She never met a stranger and always had an entertaining story to tell. She loved having family get-togethers, and often would invite others who had no family. She always was ready to help anyone who needed help. She leaves many wonderful memories for her family and friends to cherish.
The visitation will be 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. Thursday, February 03, 2022 at Spry Memorial Chapel. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel with Bro. James McCullar speaking at the service.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Jones; sons, Shannon Douglas James, Randy Bragwell, Brandon James; granddaughter, Meghan Bragwell; parents, Cecil & Christine Duggar; and brother, Thomas Duggar.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Cindy Sutton (fiancé, Lee Gifford), Martha Verne (Lee); grandchildren, LaTesa Sutton, Tiffany Sutton (fiancé, Josh Baker), Katelyn Bragwell, Kayla Newell (Shannon), Cody James (Nicole), Megan Ireland (Brett), Katie Browning, Jesse Verne; great-grandchildren, Shaylin Gosa, Landon Baker, Ryder Lawson, Kobe Ergle, Serinity Sutton, Canaan Plunkett, Drake, Ethan, and Paislei McLeMore, Redlei Newell, Zayden & Kendra James, Elijah & Jonah Ireland, Lydia Smith, Lola Jade; and several nieces & nephews.
The family would like to extend a sincere thanks to her friend, Barbara Huey, and the nurses and staff of Florence Nursing Home for the love and care shown.
