Martha Jo House Sands, 77, secretary for several years at Parkview Hospital and resident of Lawrenceburg, died Friday, November 11, 2022 at Magnolia Healthcare and Rehab.
A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday at 2:30 P.M. at Polk Memorial Gardens with Brother Frank Webb officiating. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are assisting the family with arrangements. Born May 15, 1945 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Porter House and the late Louise Rose House. She was a 1963 graduate of Columbia Central High School and attended Middle Tennessee State University. Martha was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her siblings, Shirley (Sammy) Boshers of Mt. Pleasant; Billy (Linda) House of Columbia; Betty (Dan) Palenscar of Centreville, Virginia; Patricia (Tommy) Kelly of Huntersville, North Carolina; Ruth Loveless of Columbia; sister-in-law, Judy House of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Gary House.
Active pallbearers will be her nephews.
