Karen Phyllis MayKaren Phyllis May, born on May 20, 1951, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Frances and Clarence   Webb, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2024.

Karen was a devoted daughter, mother and grandmother who cherished her family above all else. She loved supporting her children and grandchildren’s interests, dedicating countless hours to attending their practices, games, recitals, and competitions. Her presence and encouragement left a lasting impact on their lives.

A hard worker throughout her life, Karen was known for her determination and strength as she approached life with unwavering resolve. She loved to sparkle, both in spirit and style, and found peace listening to and watching the ocean’s waves.

Karen expressed her creative side through writing poetry. She also enjoyed cheering for the Memphis Grizzlies and watching ice skating.

Karen is survived by her children, Timothy May and Kimberly Coleman, her grandchildren Cassady Ozanich (Andrew Ozanich), Madalyn Coleman, Luke Coleman, and Owen Coleman, sister Janice Knubley (William Knubley),long time best friend Roxie Bagley (Joseph Bagley) and countless extended family and friends that she adored. She was preceded in death by her father Clarence Webb, her mother Frances Webb, her brother Ronald Webb, and her son in law Christopher Coleman.

Karen’s legacy is one of resilience and love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.   May her memory forever be a source of comfort and light to those she loved so dearly.

A Celebration of Life for Karen May will be held January 3, 2025, 11:00 AM at Garner Funeral Home located at 305 Lake Dr, Ripley, TN 38063.
