A memorial service for Mrs. Martha “Jean” Smith, age 96, will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Smith passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023, at Trenton Health and Rehab.
Mrs. Smith was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Trenton, where she taught Sunday School and was active with the free monthly health clinic, and was a retired staff member of the Trenton Animal Clinic.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Smitty Smith; her parents, Pop and Maude May; her brother, Frank May; and her sister, Gerry Nelson.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughter, Sandra Phyllis Snider; her son, Tony Smith (Delores); four grandchildren, Chris Smith (Vanessa), Andy Snider, Kyle Smith (Anna), and Hunter Smith (Blaire); and by three great grandchildren, Maryina Smith, Ada Smith, and Oliver Smith.
