Martha Jean Howard Majors, age 79, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2025, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born May 18, 1946, to the late Jimmy Howard and the late Luella Turner Howard in Fulton, MS. Martha was a devoted member of Mt. Hope Baptist Church in Chicago, Illinois. She dedicated 27 years of service to the Palmer House Hilton in downtown Chicago, where she worked in guest services before retiring. Martha was known for her warm spirit and love for people. She found joy in family cookouts, trips to the casino, going on cruises, and, most of all, spending time with her family. She will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

At Martha’s request, funeral services will be private.

Senter Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

She is survived by her daughter, Darlene Majors of Richton Park, IL; sons, Manolito Majors of Chicago, IL, and Glen Island of Fulton, MS; sister, Mary Howard-Parker of Chicago, IL; niece, Pamela Ashby of Fulton, MS, and host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and Luella Howard.
